Most people study Latin the wrong way, analyzing and translating too difficult texts. The best way to learn to read Latin without translating is to read and listen to Latin texts at your level and progress gradually from beginner texts to Cicero and beyond. But how do you find suitable books? The time to study? Get into a study habit? How do you know what’s good and where to start? After years of teaching Latin, we’ve created a way to make these things easier for all levels: Legentibus – a unique app with Latin audiobooks and read-alongs, from beginner to advanced, that you can keep with you in your pocket. An app for smartphones or tablets, available on the App Store and Google Play. (A 3-day free trial is included in all subscriptions.) Legentibus contains a collection of books in Latin that vary in difficulty – from exclusively written beginner stories to Classical and later Latin literature. There are two main categories: 1. Audiobooks where you can listen to your book of choice. 2. Read-alongs, where the Latin text is synchronized with the audio so that you can read and listen to the book simultaneously. These also come with either English translations, glossaries, and/or commentaries. The combination of audiobooks and read-alongs makes it possible to listen and read whenever and wherever you wish.
